About the event

The Essence of Harmony Choral Society presents: I Shall Wear A Crown,

A Gospel Celebration of Black History Month

African American Gospel music is a form of euphoric, rhythmic, spiritual music rooted in the solo and responsive church singing of the African American South. Its development coincided with -- and is germane to -- the development of rhythm and blues.

This February, celebrate Black History Month with EHCS. Under the direction of Maestra Cherisse R Bonefont, the talented choristers will fill the auditorium with Gospel greats such as Richard Smallwood's "Anthem of Praise", "Total Praise", and many more.
